Section 6 - Using ActiveCheckout

How do I start ActiveCheckout? Click the Windows Start button and select Programs, ActiveCheckout, ActiveCheckout or double click on the ActiveCheckout icon on your desktop or create an ActiveCheckout icon on your Quick Launch toolbar.

How do I close ActiveCheckout? Using ActiveCheckout's menu

• Right click on ActiveCheckout on your desktop or the ActiveCheckout system tray icon and choose Exit from the menu.

How do I change my ActiveCheckout password? In the Security category of Options....

• Right click on ActiveCheckout - select Options... - select the Security category - click the Change Password button - enter a New Password and re-enter it to confirm it - click OK.

How do I install a new version of ActiveCheckout? You can download and install a new version of ActiveCheckout, from GPayments' website, without uninstalling your current version.

ActiveCheckout preserves your current information so that you do not have to re-enter your personal and payment details or change your options or character settings

When I exit from ActiveCheckout, am I logged off or can someone else open ActiveCheckout and alter my details or use them for online shopping? ActiveCheckout is automatically logged off when you choose Exit from the right click menu.

Make sure that no one else can access your personal information, be sure to always use password protection for ActiveCheckout.

• To set your ActiveCheckout password, right click on ActiveCheckout - select Options... - select the Security category - click the Password protection check box - enter a New Password and re-enter it to confirm it - click OK.

How do I know that a site supports MasterCard SPA authentication? If you have enrolled in MasterCard SPA, when you use ActiveCheckout to fill the payment details at a site that supports MasterCard SPA, you will be presented with a SPA authentication window requesting you to enter your MasterCard SPA username and password.

How do I put my name and address into ActiveCheckout? ActiveCheckout stores your name and address details in My Profiles.

• Right click on ActiveCheckout - select My Profiles... enter your name and address details and click OK. If you've created a profile previously and want to enter an additional profile, click the New Profile button.

How do I change my address details? ActiveCheckout stores your address details in My Profiles.

• Right click on ActiveCheckout - select My Profiles... - select the name of the profile you wish to change - change your address details as required - OK.

How do I keep more than one address in ActiveCheckout? ActiveCheckout can store any number of address profiles for you in My Profiles.

• Right click on ActiveCheckout - select My Profiles..., click the New Profile button, enter the appropriate address details and click Add.

How do I change my default address profile? In My Profiles.

• Right click on ActiveCheckout - select My Profiles... - select the name of the profile you wish to become your default profile - select the Default Profile check box - click OK.

How do I store my credit card details in ActiveCheckout? ActiveCheckout stores your credit card details in My Accounts.

• Right click on ActiveCheckout - select My Accounts... enter your credit card account details and click OK. If you've previously entered card details, click the New Account button if you want to enter an additional card.

How do I keep details of more than one credit card account in ActiveCheckout? ActiveCheckout stores your credit card details in My Accounts.

• Right click on ActiveCheckout - select My Accounts... from the menu, click New Card and enter your additional credit card account details and click OK.

How do I change my credit card details? ActiveCheckout stores your credit card account details in My Accounts.

• Right click on ActiveCheckout - select My Accounts... - select the name of the card you wish to change - change your details as required - click OK.

How do I change my default credit card? In My Accounts.

• Right click on ActiveCheckout - select My Accounts... - select the name of the card you wish to become your default card - select the Default Credit Card check box - click OK.

How do I know which of my credit card accounts ActiveCheckout will use to make a payment? ActiveCheckout uses the credit card that you nominated as your default card in My Accounts. If you have set your options in the Preferences category - to Show details before filling forms, ActiveCheckout will display the Drag & Drop box before form filling and give you the opportunity to select an alternative credit card.

How do I fill a form using ActiveCheckout? You can either double click your ActiveCheckout character or you can right click your ActiveCheckout character and choose Fill in Form from the menu. If you have set your options to Auto detect forms, ActiveCheckout will automatically fill forms when they are displayed in your browser. You can also fill individual fields in a form using the Drag & Drop box which is displayed prior to form filling if your preferences to Show Details before filling forms.

Can I use different address details for different purchases? Yes, you can set up multiple address profiles and set ActiveCheckout to display the Drag & Drop box before form filling to allow you to select the appropriate profile to use.

• Right click on ActiveCheckout - select Options... - select the Preferences category - select the Show details before filling forms checkbox in the Form Filling section - click OK.

Will ActiveCheckout let me check my details before it fills a form for me? Yes, you can set the ActiveCheckout options to display your details in the Drag & Drop box and ask you to confirm them before filling a form.

• Right click on ActiveCheckout - select Options... - select the Preferences category - select the Show details before filling forms check box in the Form Filling section - click OK.

How do I know which of my addresses ActiveCheckout will use to fill in forms? ActiveCheckout uses the profile that you nominated as your default card in My Profiles. If you have set your options in the Preferences category - to Show details before filling forms, ActiveCheckout will display the Drag & Drop box before form filling and give you the opportunity to select an alternative profile.

Do I always have to ask ActiveCheckout to fill out a form when it is presented to me on a website? No, you can set ActiveCheckout to automatically detect and fill forms

• Right click on ActiveCheckout - select Options... - select the Preferences category - select the Auto detect forms checkbox in the Form Filling section - click OK.

How do I stop ActiveCheckout filling out every form that is displayed? You can set ActiveCheckout to fill forms only when you request it to.

• Right click on ActiveCheckout - select Options... - select the Preferences category - deselect the Auto detect forms checkbox in the Form Filling section - click OK.

My ActiveCheckout character distorts when I reposition it on my desktop and sometimes it makes my PC hang. There may be a problem with your graphics driver. Try installing the latest driver available for your graphics card.
